Spiral In Stone :: The Bavinger House

Bruce Goff’s Bavinger House, designed in the summer 1950 and completed on Valentine’s Day 1955, was one of the iconic American architect’s masterworks. It along side of two other built works — the Ford house (1947) and Shin’enKan (1956) — constitute a triumphant trio of tremendous imagination and ingenuity. Sadly, the house was completely lost in 2016 and now only remains a memory. This journal keeps that memory alive with numerous previously unpublished photographs and essays by David de Long, Herb Greene, Craig Lee, and H. Roice Nelson, Jr. Edited by Randolph C. Henning.
