BRUCE GOFF'S COLE HOUSE

This issue presents a detailed study of Bruce Goff’s Cole House (Chicago, 1939). The Cole House marked a resurgence of Goff’s creative energies during a trying period in his career, moving from Tulsa to Chicago in the 1930s. The issue includes essays by David De Long, Craig Lee, and Anthony Thompson that explore the history, design, and inspiration of this important work of architecture. In addition to dozens of historic photos and drawings, all new digital renderings have been created by the team of Karl Andrew (digital modeler) and Razin Khan (digital renderer) that provide readers a chance to experience visually what is now sadly lost.
